Thai Style Beef w/ Broccoli

Beef stir-fried with broccoli in oyster sauce.  You’ll find Thai style beef w/ broccoli easy to make but absolutely delicious to eat!

Thai Style Beef w/ Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb beef
  • 1 head broccoli
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons :oyster-sauce:
  • 1 teaspoon :soy-sauce:
  • 1/2 teaspoon :seasoning-sauce:
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Cooking Directions

  1. Mince garlic and slice beef into strips. Cut broccoli into florets.
  2. Heat oil in skillet over medium/high heat.
  3. Add garlic to pan and saute till brown.
  4. Add beef to pan and stir fry for 30 seconds.
  5. Add oyster, soy, and seasoning sauces along with sugar to pan.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and stir fry till broccoli gets to desired doneness.

Cut beef into thin strips

Mince garlic and cut beef into strips.  You’ll want to cut the beef at an angle to make it more tender.  For the meat, rib-eye is preferred, but you can also use “stir-fry” beef or really any beef as long as it’s sliced into strips.

Cut, wash, and drain broccoli

Cut the broccoli florets off the head, wash, and then drain the broccoli.

Add enough oil to pan to cover bottom

You’ll want to add enough oil to the pan to cover the bottom.  You don’t need a special stir-fry pan or even a wok, you can use a regular American style skillet.

Bring pan to medium/high heat and add garlic

Head the pan over medium/high head and add the garlic.  You’ll want to stir-fry the garlic till it turns a little brown.

Once garlic browned, add beef to pan

Next add the beef to the pan.

Stir fry the beef

Once it’s added all you need to stir-fry it for is about 30 seconds.  It will continue cooking while the broccoli cooks.

Add broccoli to the pan

Add the broccoli to the pan.

Add sauces to the pan

Next add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and the seasoning sauce.

Stir fry

Keep cooking over medium/high heat and stirring everything.  You’ll want to check the broccoli as you go to see if it’s done or not.

How tender you want the broccoli is up to you!  If you’d like it crispy then you don’t need to cook that long.  If you want them soft then you’ll need to cook longer.
